Dr. Jacobs, grew up in Denver, Colorado and has lived in Seattle for almost 30 years! As an internal medicine specialist she has worked in a variety of practice settings, always with a focus on providing individualized care and closely partnering with patients to prevent disease and optimally manage chronic diseases to improve well-being through making lifestyle changes as a foundation. She has recently joined the team at Speck Health in order to excite, educate & empower patients to elevate their health through effectively integrating lifestyle medicine into their daily lives.
Dr. Jacobs attended Tufts University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating cum laude in 1989. After a year of goofing off in Boston she then attended Tuts University School of Medicine where she completed both a Medical Degree and a Master’s in Public Health in 1994. She came to Seattle for Medical Residency at the University of Washington in the Primary Care Track from 1994-1997. She served as the Out-Patent Chief Resident at Harborview Medical Center in 1998 before stepping into medical practice. For the past 7+ years she was the Medical Director at the Shoreline One Medical/Iora Primary Care Clinic caring for complex seniors within an innovative model leveraging the skill of a multi- disciplinary team. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is actively pursuing certification in Lifestyle Medicine. She is also an Art Medicine Certified Practitioner. She was voted Seattle Top Doc 2023.
Dr. Jacobs is invested in making the doctor-patient relationship and visit a sacred and meaningful ritual, using food as medicine, the power of the mind and breath to calm and the lure of creativity to access the treasures of our unconscious mind to bring greater freedom, healing and good health into our lives.
Dr. Jacobs welcomes new patients at Speck Health and accepts most major insurances.
